What to Expect
-
Office
My office is located at 318 Cloister Ct. Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Once you open the door to the office there is a small waiting room. You can have a seat there and I will come out and find you when it is time for our appointment.
-
Parking
There is limited parking in the front of the building but much more parking behind the building- feel free to park anywhere there is a spot. I'm on the ground floor but if you park behind the building there is a hill to walk up or an elevator option if needed.
If you use a wheelchair or mobility aid, your best bet is to park behind the building and use the elevator. There is no curb cut in the sidewalk in front of the office, but the elevator will let you out onto the sidewalk.

First Visit
Our first visit will last between 60-90 minutes. I will have lots of questions for you to get a better sense of your history, what’s bothering you, and what you’d like to work on in therapy. If I ask you anything you don’t want to answer you can absolutely let me know. You are also welcome to take breaks throughout the session if you need them.
Before your first appointment I ask that you complete several intake forms online (I’ll send you a link once we schedule our first appointment).
-
Follow Up Sessions
After the intake session we’ll have made a plan for what we want to work on in therapy and how we plan to work on it. We will decide if it makes more sense to meet weekly or every other week for follow up appointments (50-60 minutes) to work towards the goals we identified.
-
Telehealth
If we are meeting virtually you will receive a link through email and/or text 24 hours before our appointment. When it’s time for the appointment you will open the link and we’ll start our session. The telehealth platform is HIPPA compliant and functions quite similarly to other video call platforms you may be familiar with.

Illness
If you don't feel well, please let me know and we can meet virtually or re-schedule to keep the office as safe as possible for all clients. I commit to doing the same on my end.
If you prefer that I wear a mask during session just let me know and I'd be happy to do so.
